   Fast and safe automated stripping of polyimide optical fibers

   

   PCS-100/100L uses a mechanical method to safely strip polyimide coatings without using chemicals or acids.

   The coating edge has a beveled shape

   

   Once processed, the coating edge takes on a beveled shape, which can be helpful depending on how the fiber is further processed.

   Suitable for fibers with the following coatings: polyimide, polyacrylate, carbon, and gold

   

   Multiple parameters, including razor blade position and stroke, and fiber rotation angle are adjustable for various fiber sizes and coating materials.

Customer Benefits

The PCS-100/100L mechanically strips polyimide coatings using blades, without the use of chemicals or flames. The PCS-100's built-in proof tester will verify the strength of the stripped section. The PCS-100L does not include a proof tester.

Depending on whether the proof tester function is included or not, there are two types of lineups available.

It also accommodates fiber diameters that other coating strippers (RS03, RS03-80, SS110) cannot handle.
